FAQ'S about selling my car via cellyourcar.com

Q. How much does it cost to sell my car the cellyourcar.com way?
A. Nothing. Although by using our service you must agree to register your sale via the link provided in the confirmation email that you are sent shortly after offering your car for sale.

Q. What are the benefits of using cellyourcar.com when selling to the trade?
A. Unlike other trade websites where you're reliant on a single dealer or middleman's offer we offer your car to the thousands of dealers by filling in one simple form helping you to maximise the price that you can get when selling to the trade. "Someone will always pay more for your car, the hard job's finding them." That's where we help.

Q. How do I know my details are safe?
A. You car details are displayed in our password protected members area and emailed to our directory members but not your personal details, these have to be requested, so we know which dealers have contacted you.

Q. What if after a few days I haven't got a response.
A. This is normally due to the fact that you're asking an unrealistic price for your car, please remember these are dealers who you are offering your car to so you can revisit the website and re enter you car details with a lower asking price.

Q. How do I know I’m going to get the price we agreed on the phone?
A. This whole service is based on trust, the Dealer/Trader trusts you to give an honest and accurate description of your vehicle, and you then trust the dealer to give you the money that you've agreed.

Q. How long will the offer I receive be valid for?
A. It's very important that you clarify this with the dealer/trader. Each and every dealer/trader will honour their offer for different periods.

Q. How long will the whole sales process take?
A. This depends on how quick both parties want to conclude the deal. If you sell to someone local it could happen on the same day and most dealers would expect to complete within 48 hours.

Q. What types of cars will the dealers buy?
A. Most dealers are keen to buy car which are in reasonable condition. Everybody has a different perception of reasonable condition, when I was a Sales Manager I would deem reasonable condition as a vehicle which has been looked after, regularly maintained with documentation and not requiring major bodywork repairs, or any more than 3 panels painting for minor cosmetic repairs. Some Dealers/Traders will accept more damage than others that's why we give you as many names as possible for you to contact. If your car is an absolute wreck this service is not for you.
