After 16 years in the motor trade I found myself in a situation whereas I was buying more cars off the public rather than the trade and they had struggled to sell them in the conventional way. I'd give them a fair price for the vehicle and send a driver to collect. Nearly every time the vehicle wasn't as described it always came with the odd scratch that they didn't know about. This got me thinking of a way of giving the public an easier and better way of selling their vehicle. One which was different from the conventional ways.
Cellyourcar.com's Public Vehicle Buyers Directory is a simple but brilliant concept, what we believe to be the first website in the world where instead of charging people to advertise a car, van or motorbike which they have for sale, we let you offer your vehicle to hundreds of potential trade buyers who buy what your selling for free. Simply select their vehicle's details from drop down menu's, choose what part of the country the vehicle is located in and you car details will be broadcast to our thousands of registered dealers in our directory, they then have to request your personal details, so you can rest assured that using cellyourcar.com when selling your car is a safe, secure way of helping you to maximise the price you can obtain for your car when selling directly to the trade.
Lots of these dealers will travel hundreds of miles to buy stock, some will want you to deliver, some will collect if it's the right car for them, some will be local to you, but wouldn't it be nice to have the choice of who you sold your car to. Cars have regional variations as well as do their economies, that's why we publish details of buyers in various parts of the country so you can now avoid the constraints of your area and sell to dealers far away who may give you a lot more than you could obtain locally. Lots of dealers value cars differently, you've probably experienced this when you've traded your car in before, this is because everyone in the trade all use various car valuation guides, that's exactly what these are “Guides” your car's worth what the buyer is prepared to pay we just put you in touch with lots of trade buyers who all value cars differently. I once bought a Ford Cougar off a dealer in one part of the country and sold it to another dealer in a different part of the country the same day and made over £500.00 profit.
Unfortunately in life there are lots of people who are involved in scams and you're constantly warned by the press and trade publications about the risks of scammers when selling your vehicle. Often these involve complete strangers responding to an advert that you've placed offering your vehicle for sale. When using cellyourcar.com to sell your car, van or motorbike the only people who know that your vehicle's for sale are the registered dealers in our directory and we know what dealers have requested your contact details . Once you've found a dealer/trader and agreed a price you can carry out any necessary checks that you require to satisfy yourself before completing the deal. Most of the dealers in our directory are Official Franchised Dealers representing one or more Manufacturers, some are large dealer group's, some are third generation family run business's, some are independent but they all have these two things in common, they all buy vehicles and they all buy vehicles off the public.
Motor trade search facility
About the same time as I was buying more vehicles off the public than the trade I needed to find a Radiator Repairer, so I went to another website and typed it in the Business Category Search, “Do you require a Central Heating Engineer?” Was the response I got so I tried Alloy Wheel Refurber, it wasted my time by giving me phone numbers for Alloy Wheel Stockists. I asked myself how often must this happen in everyday life; you're given the wrong number or get through to the receptionist who directs your call, only to be put through to the wrong department.
That started me thinking what if there was a straightforward directory that was purely and simply for the motor trade where people could make up their own categories, one which best describes what they do? For Example if a garage is a Cylinder Head Specialist why can't that be his category? So when a customer knows that they need a “Cylinder Head Repair” carrying out they can just log on, type it in, and up pop useful phone numbers that are relevant, not a list of garages under the more general category of “Garage Services”. This saves having to waste time and money phoning each one to ask whether they do that type of repair. Or if a dealer needs to find a new supplier for Key Rings why should they have to search under “Promotional Products” when it could simply be “Key Ring Supplier”. It's not rocket science just a directory which recognises the motor trade.
Being a Sales Manager in the trade I recognised the need for such a directory and decided to start one full of useful numbers, website and email contacts for everyone to share about the motor trade.
The directory is far from complete and growing daily, entry's are welcome from all motor trade business's to have a free listing including your company logo, a link to your website and an email contact for free.
